Prerequisites
- Admin access in Sookly.
- Access to website code or tag manager.
- A destination inbox already exists.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Channels and open Website Chat.
- Select the inbox where website conversations should land.
- Copy the widget installation snippet.
- Add the snippet to your site layout (before closing body tag).
- Publish the change and test in an incognito browser.
- Send a test chat and confirm it appears in Sookly.
- Reply from Sookly and confirm the message appears in the widget.
What success looks like
- Widget loads on target pages.
- Visitor messages appear in the mapped inbox.
- Replies sync correctly in both directions.
Common issues and fixes
Issue: Widget is visible but no messages appear in Sookly.
Fix: Check channel-to-inbox mapping and workspace configuration values.
Issue: Widget script is blocked in browser console.
Fix: Update CSP rules to allow required script and connect sources.
