Add teammates and set roles

Invite teammates and assign least-privilege roles for daily operations.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access in Sookly.
  • Email addresses for teammates.
  • At least one inbox already created.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Team and click Invite Teammate.
  2. Send invitations and assign each person a role (Admin or Agent).
  3. Map users to relevant inboxes only.
  4. Have each user confirm sign-in, inbox access, and notifications.
  5. Run a quick permission check using one agent and one admin account.

What success looks like

  • All teammates have the correct role and inbox visibility.
  • Admins can configure workspace settings.
  • Agents can handle assigned conversations with no extra permissions.

Common issues and fixes

  • Issue: A teammate can sign in but sees no conversations.

    Fix: Add the teammate to at least one inbox from inbox membership settings.

  • Issue: Too many users have admin rights.

    Fix: Reduce admin roles and apply least-privilege policy.
