Overview
This page explains how users and workspace admins can request deletion of data associated with Sookly, including LINE Official Account, Facebook Messenger, Instagram messaging, LinkedIn (when enabled), and website chat data for connected businesses, and waitlist registrations on sookly.co.
Sookly processes messaging data on behalf of the connected clinic or business. End customers who messaged a business should usually contact that business first. Workspace admins can disconnect channels and ask Sookly to wipe linked data as described below.
This page is Sookly’s public Data Deletion Instructions URL for Meta App Dashboard. We use instructions (not a signed-request deletion callback webhook). It also covers LINE disconnect/deletion, LinkedIn disconnect/deletion when that channel is enabled, website chat, and waitlist deletion requests.
1. Disconnect channels (workspace admin)
A workspace admin should open the Sookly workspace settings for connected channels and disconnect the LINE Official Account, Facebook Page, Instagram professional account, and/or LinkedIn connection that should no longer sync messages into Sookly. Where website chat is enabled, remove or disable the embeddable widget on your site and turn off website chat in Sookly settings when available.
After disconnect, Sookly stops receiving new messages for that connection. Existing stored conversations may remain until you request deletion (step 2) or until retention rules apply.
If the product UI for channel disconnect is not yet available in your workspace, email privacy@sookly.co from an admin address and ask us to disconnect the channel (LINE, Meta, LinkedIn, and/or website chat) for your workspace.
2. Request deletion of linked messaging data
Email privacy@sookly.co from a workspace admin or authorised contact address.
Include: (1) business / clinic name, (2) Sookly workspace or account identifier if you have one, (3) LINE Official Account name/ID and/or Facebook Page name or ID and/or Instagram account handle and/or LinkedIn Page or account identifier, and (4) what you want deleted (for example: all LINE-linked conversations, all Meta-linked conversations, all LinkedIn-linked conversations, a specific date range, or the full workspace).
We will confirm the request, verify that you are authorised for that workspace, and delete or irreversibly anonymise the requested linked data from active systems within a reasonable period — typically within 30 days unless a longer period is required by law, security investigation, or backup retention.
Where helpful, our confirmation email may include a short reference code or summary of what will be deleted so you can track the request. You can reply to that thread for status updates.
3. End-user (customer) requests
If you are a person who messaged a clinic or business on LINE, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, LinkedIn, or website chat, and that business uses Sookly, contact the business first. They control the customer relationship and can request deletion of your conversation content from their workspace.
You may also email privacy@sookly.co. We may need to redirect you to the connected business or ask them to authorise deletion of message content held for their workspace.
4. Waitlist and website contact data
If you joined the Sookly waitlist or contacted us through sookly.co and want your registration or enquiry deleted, email privacy@sookly.co from the same address you used and ask us to delete your waitlist or contact record.
We will delete or anonymise that record from active systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons. Where helpful, our confirmation may include a short reference so you can track the request.
Stopping waitlist emails does not always delete your record; say clearly if you want deletion as well as opt-out. See also our Privacy Policy waitlist section at https://www.sookly.co/privacy .
Facebook / Meta deletion requests
Under Meta’s Platform Terms, apps that access user data must tell people how to request deletion. Meta also lets people request deletion from Facebook: open Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, remove the app if listed, then use Send Request where available.
Facebook Apps and Websites settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
If you use that Facebook flow for an app associated with Sookly, also email privacy@sookly.co so we can match your request to the right workspace and delete linked Meta messaging data held in Sookly.
Meta’s official documentation and User Data Deletion Request FAQs (including when an instructions URL may be used instead of a callback): https://developers.facebook.com/docs/development/create-an-app/app-dashboard/data-deletion-callback/
Sookly’s steps above (disconnect channel → email privacy@sookly.co) remain the primary way for workspace admins to delete linked data from our systems.
LINE notes
Disconnecting LINE and emailing privacy@sookly.co is the primary way to stop processing and request deletion of LINE-linked workspace data held by Sookly.
Connected businesses must also follow the LINE User Data Policy for any LINE User Information they handle: https://terms2.line.me/LINE_Developers_user_data_policy
LinkedIn notes
When LinkedIn is enabled for a workspace, disconnecting LinkedIn and emailing privacy@sookly.co is the primary way to stop processing and request deletion of LinkedIn-linked workspace data held by Sookly.
Until LinkedIn messaging is enabled in your workspace, Sookly does not hold LinkedIn member message content for that workspace through the LinkedIn APIs. See also the LinkedIn section of our Privacy Policy at https://www.sookly.co/privacy .
What we may retain temporarily
Limited logs, security records, or backups may remain for a short period after deletion for operational continuity, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, then are removed or overwritten according to our retention practices.
